Good News: Update of SAP Note 2230704 over the weekend – on Power9 E950
and E980 – without any further restrictions – up to 16 productive LPARs
(or 15 + 1 shared pool) are now allowed!

Due to a bug in the Linux
kernel for Linux on Power, using HTM (HANA transactional memory) can lead to a
kernel panic.

Affected Releases: SAP HANA 2.0: Rev 024.04 –
024.10 (SPS02), Rev 031.00 – 037.00 (SPS03), Rev = 040.00 (SPS04) with SLES 12
SP01 – SP04

Did you ever notice that your linux can swap if you are running #SAPHANA on it even though there is enough phys. memory for it?
If your are using sapconf/saptuned you are safe because vm.swapiness will be set to 25(%) => default: 60%.
