Ecogas specializes in distributing natural gas to households and
businesses across six provinces in Argentina. A regulated monopoly, the company
serves 1,251,281 customers via a distribution network spanning almost 30,000
km.

To accomodate future growth Ecogas replaced its 2 separate systems
supporting processes like payment with one SAP for Utilities instance based on
HANA on Power.

To highlight some of the benefits of this migration/consolidation Ecogas

· – accelerated its customer payment process by 73%

· – shortened its regulatory reporting system by 83%

· – improved customer service by enabling people to submit
meter readings and make payments online, rather than having to visit one of its
offices
