Great News in the SAPonPower Hybrid Environment!

Additionally to the already available and used IBM Cloud PowerVS offering for SAP applications
IBM is now SAP Hyperscaler and can be directly booked within an SAP RISE contract!

Great News… Current update of SAP Note 2947579 shows again the granularity available for HANA instances on IBM Power Virtual Server e.g. you can very flexibly choose your LPAR / VM size from 16 to 30.5 TB in 1 TB steps and with 1.254.000 SAPS each.


Large OLTP Scale-Out now SAP certified: up to 128 TB!

Scaling is key :-)) !

Now really large OLTP S/4HANA implementations are supported:
up to 128 TB (Scale-Out 4 nodes with each 32 TB) – on prem
and up to 4 nodes with 30.5 TB each on Power Virtual Server!

DB6 (Db2 LUW) and Oracle DB on Power AIX supported – at least – until YE 2030…

Just to mention it…:-))
“Classic” SAP Applications on Power AIX with “AnyDB” (Db2 LUW or Oracle DB) will be supported at least until YE 2030 ! (from a database support point of view…)
