HoP Update: now min. requirement for HANA Prod LPARs has been reduced to 4 cores instead before 8 cores!
HANA TDI Update concerning IBM Storage: new storage systems A9000 and DS8880 has been recently certified :-))
HANA TDI Update: ESS based on Spectrum Scale/GPFS file system now validated and usable with HoP …
It reduces the necessary “SAP officially required” core number by 50%, means if you have 10 production LPARs with small SAP HANA DBs each, you may save 40 cores (you have to provide 40 instead of 80 cores if you are following the official SAP rules…)
Nevertheless there are also other ways possible to solve such issues, also regarding the C2M ratio you mentionend … if you would like to have a dedicated discussion about, especially perhaps for your individual case, please contact me via pn.

Yes, but if the ratio remain the same…. Isn’t so usefull 🙁
